Today were going to talk about the dutch during the settling of America now the dutch came relatively late because remember the big thing with America was that it was much freer than most other countries they didn't have an issue with this but they enjoyed a good deal of freedom anyways in the Netherlands they were the freest country out there at the moment and at that time enjoyed a surplus of immigrant to there a small plot of land.

Today for sermon Sunday we had a guest preacher for our morning service and he did a very good job. We talked about the number seven and how it was the completeness and we talked about the church in Revelations that was surrounded by mountains there was this smugness because people knew that it was extremely difficult to take this city it also was important for commerce so there was quite a bit of wealth as well.

Today for sermon Sunday I am going to talk about the evening service and it was about cursing and swearing unnecessary oaths. He talked about how when you sin you double the sin by not carrying God's name with honor so you sin once then you also automatically commit the third commandment of sin as well. The Heidelberg catechism said it we should try very hard to not use God's name in vain because there was a death penalty in Israel if you did. God gave us his name and that is a great privilege and we should not mess with that privilege in any way.

For sermon Sunday I am going to talk about the morning sermon and this one is still on the Joseph series. This is also the part of the story when Josephs brothers go down to Egypt to get some grain because they were in a severe famine. Josephs saw them walk into the place where they were selling grain and the first thing he says he accuses them of being spies to look at the weak parts of the land of Egypt. Remember Joseph basically could do anything to his brothers Joseph basically has absolute power over everyone in Egypt besides the Pharaoh. Joseph could have snapped his fingers and his brothers heads would roll.

Today I am going to keep talking about the history of America and America is slowly ever so slowly getting settled people are seeing opportunity and an insane amount of freedom in America and people don't yet know how big America actually is just uncharted land that you can take for nothing it's just up to you and whoever you bring with you to tame it.
