as Nate had lept from the last remaining wall stairs he jumped straight towards a red rider with his flintlock reay he gave a yell and ran him through taking one of the pistols that the red riders always carried he thrust it into his belt and grabbed the sword that the red rider had used then he charged another that had been dehohorsed and as he engaged him another red rider ran toward him with his sword raised to take nats head the first red rider fell just in time he jumped aside as the Sabor flashed bye only scratching him on the side of the head Nate quickly drew his pistol and fired misfire second shot hit him in the chest he doubled over but there was no time for a party he ran to help a comrade that had two red riders on him they dispatched them and then they took 4 more pistols and fired all for at once because they where doubled barrels they fired another shot at them only hitting 2 and wounding three more they charged in and lay about with there rifle butt and bayonet and sabor they killed two but the other ones where shot down bye a mob of ten more minutmen the red riders retreated to where the heavy seige cannons where still battoring down the walls nate ran up whith his rifle and started two fire at them the other men came and they fired a volley after volley at the sige cannons 10 men where killed and 11 where wounded they had a small peice of attillery and yhey loded that and fired at a sige cannon smashing a saport strut so it coudl not fire then taking there rifles that had been already loded then they fired onother volley at the trenches where there where about 2000 men there then they ran down to a smashed rampart where the cannons had more or less done some heavy work and they started two build up the bouildors and rock they brought a small canno  there so they could cripple any sige cannon that tried attacking again nate was thinking that they where going to charge whith there full brunt force which was a lot of men and cavillery
