 My report is on Nikola Tesla he is a very important man in the history of the finding and invention and use of electricity he made things like the transformer, the induction motor and he made good progress on what we call alternating current or AC power for short.  Without Nikola Tesla, we wouldn't have the transformer which almost every house has nowadays. AC power is very different back then they had to use something called DC power this form was extremely annoying to work with because it was rather weak and could travel through a lot of space or it would lose its power AC on the other hand could travel large distances without losing its ability to light up lightbulbs and other things. If we were still using DC power there would be many more electrical areas that would need to be erected because of DC's inability to go far.  Nikola Tesla himself was an interesting man he was the one person that took a remote-controlled boat and used the remote control to steer it everybody thought there was some sort of trained monkey in the boat itself because it was such new technology.  When Tesla was pretty young he work in a telephone exchange without prior training in that area. From then on he kept trying to experiment with different types of wireless communication and lighting until he died in 1943.  Backtracking a little bit he went to work for the continental Edison company installing lights and other things like that.  After a while one of his superiors was being moved over to America to work on a machine job there he decided to try to get Tesla to come with him he succeeded and Nikola moved to America. He started working on larger machines where there were tons of laborers and it was very loud.  Nikola Tesla met Thomas Edison a few times one of these times he had been staying up late on a ship fixing some dynamos and Edison and his friend walked by. Edison commented on him being up all night and Nikola responded with I was fixing the dynamos on the Oregon which was the ship he was working on.  Edison responded with this is a good man.  After a while, Tesla had been working on these new inventions and we wanted a patent for them. so that's what he went and did. The two people that helped with the patent were the same that helped Edison with his patents. He decided to make his own company called Tesla electric light and Manufacturing. This is where he made advances in his new DC generator.  The investors liked it at first but after a while, they actually left and took the patents with them Tesla was left penniless and had to dig ditches for two dollars a day.  He said later the high education I had seemed a mockery.  After a while he met other investors made other companies and made more advancements in electricity he even won a Nobel prize for it. So without Nikola Tesla, it would have been a while longer before we would have wireless and xray.
