So a little science work here there are three different ways to heat to move from place to place and that last way which I s think is the coolest is radiation. So when a ho thing get like hot it emits light but you cant see it usually. At least well think like have you ever seen a burning ember it's letting out heat that you can see because its glowing yellow and that why fire lets out both heat and radiated heat which you cant feel in the air. But can feel it when you stand still in front of fire also when you have a thermos there are two layers of the like cup and the in-between has a mirror on it to flashback all the radiated heat.
