John Leppelman on the oats/,. So John is on the boats and he is on these boats during Tet Offensive. S o they had to resupply some people in a city that had been the main object of the enemy and almost every time they made a supply drop they were under tons of fire from one side of the river and sometimes both sides of the river even where they had to land there might be attackers the marines there held out for an extremely long time with John Lepplman and his crew giving them supplies.
Today I am going to talk about the basics of working out. First, you must know the term progressive overload. This term is used all of the time. You are basically guaranteed to not build as much muscle if you don't progressive overload. but what is progressive overload? Basically, it's adding more weight or repetitions over time to an exercise if you do ten pushups hopefully the next time you do eleven or more then that.  Now you know that term you must choose a split for your choice this will depend on how often you want to workout. Some people find it optimal for them to workout every day others find it more optimal to workout three times a week. A general rule is to workout at least three times a weak. The most popular split is push-pull legs meaning on the days you workout you do your push muscles in your chest triceps shoulders. Then you have a rest day. The next day you do your pull muscles which are your back muscles also some shoulders and biceps and some forearms. Th...
Today I am ging to talk about the colonization of this fort in between this fork in the Misipsi they were surrounded by swamps. They had all sorts of malaria-related diseases and almost every summer tons of people would die so finally the commander of this fort put everyone in a very disciplined routine and they lowered the percentages of everybody dying. Then he asked for help from England and they sent shipfulls of goods over. They fought the Indians a ton and over time however they became kind of friends but more friendly then they were.
According to sun tzu, there are three ways to use fire in the art of war. The first is to burn the soldiers in the camp. The second is to burn the baggage in camp. The third is to burn the baggage trains as they move from place to place. Note do not light the fire when you are downwind. Always have the wind blowing towards where you want to burn things. Using water you can attack the enemy but you cannot take their belongings. Remember one part of the enemy's baggage is worth two of your own.
Sermon Sunday the morning sermon was by my dad and it was the pre-good Friday sermon because this Friday is going to be good Friday. The day that mot Christians take to be the day that Jesus either died or rose from the dead I think it died. We don't actually have this exact date this date isn't the exact time Jesus died but we use this date. It's the idea that we worship When Jesus died but we don't know what day he died so we use good Friday.
The penny is useless. Today I am going to give you some reasons why the penny is useless and is hurting the economy. First, the penny is going backward. It actually costs more money to make a penny than the penny is actually worth. The penny costs about one point eight cents to make one cent. So we are losing money on the penny. Also, it is a time waster studies have shown that when someone has to pay with pennies at the register they waste an acreage of 2.5 seconds at the register than fourteen minutes in the year. Not to mention the people behind you still waiting to pay for the groceries.
John leppelman is stumbling through th jungle with next to no sleep and he is expected to somehow kill or capture vitnamaese it was preoperstwerous he finally decided to get out whule he could he reporteded to a new job on boats these boats were kind of like tug boats just more heavily srmed and armored. The job was pretty easy and he got to lounge arund on a boat all day which was way better then running around in the jungle. This is where he was during the tet offensive.
Today for sermon Sunday I am going to talk about the morning sermon and its on prayer. First of all our church has the habit of only the pastor but the bible explicitly says that all the men should have a turn in the prayer.  Another thing is that when someone asks you to pray for them you do it on the spot and doesn't wait at all.
For my book, I am going to continue the book Blood on the Risers. We left off with this man named John Leppelman in the 182-second airborne division. He is here for a couple months but he can't stand it. It's extremely dangerous and they weren't getting anywhere because the Vietnamese would just leave. The Vietnamese were expert guerilla warriors and they used it to full effect. The leadership was horrible being made to do watch duty three or four nights in a row when you're already shot from trudging around the jungle all day.
Vlood on the Riser is a book about a man who stayed in Vietnam for three years and in his three years there he served as a member of 182 airborne paratrooper division a seamen with small carrier boats. In the end, he served as an LRRPv Which is short for long-range ranger patrol. This group is no longer a thing this group got merged with arm ringers. These people did basically the same thing and they did it with only six men per company. He starts out in the book in the 182-second Ariborn decisions as a new guy who has no idea what he is doing also he is given the radio,.
I have started reding this massive history of America. It's about seven hundred pages and starts around Columbus finding America and ends around the war on terrorism. So its pretty big which is cool. This is the first time I have read a bok about real stuff that's actually been big and it's pretty technical so I don't try to memorize all the dates and people. My history is pretty good though I know most of the names and places they talk about.
For sermon Sunday I am going to talk about.  In the evening service, we had a guest pastor. He is the pastor of Alto urc which is actually the church I am going to task with so that going to be fun hearing and seeing him again. his sermon was on exodus 24 and it was about how worship is important to God because there are books and chapters in the bible all on the idea of worship and how to worship.
Yesterday we had chair defense on street week and I strained my hip flexor sort of.  We were doing al sorts of choke hold holds and stuff to do when you're in a crowded seat like church or something like that. We were doing these wrist grabs stuff and how to put people in wrist logs and armlocks and stuff like that.
This week at the dojo is street week which is always fun because we can just wear our normal street clothes.  On Thursdays at the dojo, we have a seminar week where we learn some special form of self-defense. This week its chair defense. This means learning how to defend yourselves when sitting in a chair and not sitting upon it.
Sun Tzu says in his book if you travel over fifty li with or army only one-tenth will make it if you travel thirty li with your army only two-thirds will make it and baggage will be lost. He also says to deliberate and think before you move. When you do move, move quickly and attack without warning. Make your plans as dark as the night. If you cannot understand or use the terrain to your benefit you will be lost. Use the locals as guides so you may know the best way to attack.
I am reading The Art of War by Sun Tzu and it is very interesting. The chapter I am reading right now is all about weak points. It is all very practical and common sense stuff. Like if you are to send troops to the left you weaken the right and vice versa. you must impose your will upon the enemy,y. The one who reaches their battle first will be well rested the ones that come second will be tired and not ready to fight. You must fight where you want to fight and not where your enemy wants to fight.
Sermon Sunday was on goodness and my dad actually quoted two perfect quotes from Winston Churchill and from Narnia voyage of the dawn treasurer. I don't remember the exact words of Qouite but Winston Churchill's quote was all I can offer is blood toil sweat and tears. The Narnia one was from repeeecheep how his one purpose in his life was to come to the land of Aslan and when his boats failed him he would swim with his nose to the east.
I have four karate classes right now Monday through Thursday I go to a class. Most of the time I teach or help out the instructors only at Thursday class do I actually learn things. Of the other classes I teach two are at a school and another one is just a place where we do karate only one of these classes is at the actual dojo which is the voyage church.  I also enjoy learning different kata we need in pour karate style. I like learning the Shotokon versions especially.
