I normally work outside at chic fil a which basically means that i have to stand or sit outside taking peoples orders we take fourteenth second order or at least thats the goal its pretty hard to do but i have definitely hit order faster then that there are a few techniques we use to make the order time go down.
I work at chic fil and there are a few things we chic fil team members do differently in a nomrla fast food restaurant first of all we are faster than every single restaurant out there our drive-through is known to be the fastest and the reason for that is the way we have everything set up.
our sermon Sunday we had the covenant with David and in the eveining we had a sermon on the bvasically the christmas story bolth of these sermons were good i dont know which one is better but i enjoy my dasds preaching quiet a bit.
There are two different types of mountain bike a full suspension and a hard tail now a full suspension has a suspension in the front as well as the back so it has a far more cushioned ride on top of that they as are usually faster going down hills because they are a lot more steady then the hardtack mountain bike.
Next week on this day i have abelt test and i will belt test to receive my purple belt which is a step up because once i get a purple belt i will be able to go to special classes and that going to be super fun and i also get to stay for an extra amount of time.
For sermon Sunday we had communion on the morning sermon and it was about Jacob and how he wrestled with the angle of the Lord all night and Jacob finally got a blessing from the angle of the LORD and a new name but at the same time he hurt his hip tendons.
For speech and debate class on Friday, I have to show people how to replace the tube on a bike tire and I am going to add some funny bits to it and hopefully, it turns out to be about six to eight minutes.
Sermon Sunday The evening sermon was on baptism and my dad was going over arguments against thje baptist denomination and all of that and something that was really interesting was that it has been over four hundred years and neither side has gotten no where.
So i recently finished all three of my tip tests for my senior yellow belt meaning i will get hopeful get a belt test schedule soon and thats going to be fun because once i get my purple belt i will be allowed to go to special class and full contact sparring.
Today i am going to talk about a certain calisthenics move that i was working towards and i was finally able to get it a couple weeks ago it is called the tuck planche where instead of your feet being straight out behind you like a normal planche your feet are tucked in with only your hands touching the ground its a great move to use to build relative strength and it looks really cool.
Sermon Sunday our sermon in the morning was on acts and the diffrent court trials that PAul had to go through starting with the Sanhedrin with there blin hate of Paul and ending with king Agrippa an he almost got saved.
I didd a speech in speech and debate class about mountain biking and some other stuff like the history of mountain biking first oi went through the hstory of mountain biking wich isnt really that long because it really only started to get going during the seventy.
The style karate i do is very similar to the shotokon style karate and that style is actually the most popular style but a lot of the kata we share we have a ton of hein kata that shotokon also has we also have a bunch of takeout kata that they also have.
Kata is an integral part of karate its extremely fun to learn and do but sometimes it is extremely confusing our martial takes as lot of kata out of shotokon karate and slightly changes it basically what they do is shorten the stance and make the strikes different as well but basically we have all the same kata.
My speech i have to do for speech and debate class its a speech about somewthing so i decided to do mountain biking and thats something i know pretty well so were going to go into what types of bikes the history of bikes and some other thing like the diffreent types of features on a bike line.
The third tip test is maybe the easiest depending on how good you are at at memorizing things but basically the third tip test is all of the Japanese terms that you need to know after that belt it really nothing else other that you just gotta memorize and get really good at the terms.
The first tip test is as i said in the last blog that its all of the physical stuff besides kata and its by far the easiest there are basically no excuses for you to not few your first tip test within in a month of receiving your next belt. It goes over all the essential blocks hits punches kicks, and all of that fun stuff.
Tonight i am going to test for my second tip i am getting closer to getting my purple belt but I decide I am going to go in depth about what the second tip test actually is. Each tip focuses on different things. The first tip focuses on most of the physical side of things like kicks punches blocks stances etc. The second tip is much more stuff you have to memorize but the second tip is difficult because it involves all of the kata and the higher you go the more kata you must know.  With that being said you have to also to the self defenses which is just a few things that you go over if they were to grab your wrist or shoulder or both your wrists things like that. That is more just practicing moves in a line to see what works and what doesn't.

Sermon Sunday

So we had a hymn festival that got hosted by community OPC which is a cool church and we have very close ties to that church and people from out church came and participated and also people from our old church did as well it was super fun and he heard a bunch of wrens songs but some old old classics as well.
The middle child characteristics I see in myself are have always wanted to be different. I always enjoyed outdoor activity more then anybody else in the family and have gotten into some strange hobbies like different clicking methods.  Something that seems really strange to a lot of my older siblings and friends were my running career and how I liked doing it.  My favorite thing to do are going outside in almost any weather and doing tricks on my bike.      The firstborn characteristics were someone that had a lot of rules and was mature faster then everybody else. I can see all of these in Andrew how he always compulsions that it was harder when he was younger to do things and the punishments were always bigger and somehow worse.       The youngest characteristics in Julia are not very big at the moment because she is only three but you can see right no she enjoyed attention and usually get things the way she wants ...
For speech and debate class i have to do a speech about something and its explaining that thing to the businessman so decided something that i know quiet a bit about i decide to do mountain biking the history of mountain biking and things like that i need to research more about the history of mountain biking and stuff like that but its going to be a fun two week project.
Masculinty is a hige issue in the nowadays because women have started to take over the world us men need to take a srand and figyht back we are the head of household women ashould be weak and submit to there husdands in every way possible.
I got a job at chic fila and i have finally started working there and its actually kinda fun i get to work at the front of house meaning i take order and stuff like that i got to do a few orders yesterday when i worked there are a lot of pluses at chic fil a i get a free meal if i break atmy shift oratthe end and i also get a free soft drink as well.
We had karate yesterday and wewere doing a few different variants of the pushups andwe did a fewthat i dont hik is the best way to get a good burn in the triceps and chest. So i have three diffreent pushups i am going to go over that i think are the best. The first is thenormal pushup this variant hits chest and the tricep extremely well and is a good paramter to see how strong your push strength actually is. The second is the diamond pushps this pushups loads the tricep far more then any other pushup i know of and isnt the hardest thing to do because your hands are more stable the the other variants. Thirdisd thw wide pushups this is basically a nomral pushup just with hands placed almost double then you normaly would and this helps load the chest fore i personally get a very good stretch feeling and i can feel the chest actually doing something with this particular movement.
War is in the Pacific the Japanese are destroying island after island trying to keep this massive ship afloat that they set for themselves they struck pearl harbor and they go right for the islands around the great islands of Japan all in one night they attacked over three different sets of islands and even more in the morning of the next day.
Last night we had a man named Matt nuiver preach for us he was very good and was also the person that did all the talks at TASC so i knew him from there he is extremely eloquent and speech and his sermon was on the prodigal son and he talked about the older brother that did not dessert his father and how the story is more centered on him then the actual prodigal son.
Yesterday at karate class i got to teach the entire class for like an hour it was really fun and i learned some stuff about teaching and i hope the students got to learn some stuff to.  My brother got to do his white belt rest so he is a yellow belt now.
I have a speech for speech and debate class I have to introduce someone to the class to speak so I decided to go with Chris Kyle because I know quite a bit about him. He is also a very interesting person the greatest sniper in America and he started his own company so I thought it would be interesting it gotta be about 1 to two minutes preferably two minutes.
For Sunday, I will talk about the morning sermon on the person named Apollos. this man was highly learned a lot of things because he came from the city of Alexandria and he was fervently preaching the Gospel to the Jews but he did not know all of the Gospel so these two people took him to the side and taught him the rest of what he needed to know.
My assignment for this weeks speech and debate class is we have to make a speech that is about one to two minutes long and basically what we have to do is introduce someone to the class. I am going to introduce David goggins to the class to talk about mental hardness and pushing to your limits i will most likely start out with some of his achievements.
Foer sermons Sunday we had the evening sermon which was on doubting Thomas the first thing is Thomas was a twin which id dint know and the second he is a very very dark fellow and quiet sarcastic in one of the verses he is mentioned he says let us all go to jersualmen to die with him. and you see through the story jesus goes looking for his lost sheep and he finds him and brings him home.
Draven woke up in the always to warm hut of his grandpa Orion. He got out of bed and went downstairs to where his grandpa was frying takri nice day he said if only you couldn't sleep in so late. draven grinned well grandpa i just cant help it you make such good breakfast you know i cant cook. They laughed and joked around while they ate and Draven picked up his napsack and tic and headed to workfor the day.
Yesterday was one of the first days I get the help teach the white belts at karate class it was really fun because its just you and the white belt i got a rather young man he was just old enough to start karate and we went over kata and self defense techniques. Then at the end of class we did the chicken which is very hard you stand in the ready stance then they take a chicken that squeaks and they walk up to you and if you smile or laugh you have to do one push ups.
Digital addiction is a very real thing for many people these days and is probably the most widespread addiction in the world digital addiction is extremely unhealthy the side effects are less neatransmoitters in the brain becoming albino and not being outside enough.
Sermon Sunday is on the morning sermon and it was on Act Paul's second missionary journey where the Lord told him he had to go a different direction that he wanted to go. He ends up in Athens and talks to the great scholars there about the alter they have to the unknown God or the god they forgot to worship to.
Fort Cuaster is full of awesome metb moun tain biking trails do it has two main lines the red and green trail are around eight miles long the red trail being 8.4 miles and the green trail being exactly eight miles.  Do not be disturbed by the red path though it is slightly longer but far easier to ride and a lot more fun to do the green trail is highly intense and you need your full cooperation on this trail. It has one or two smaller trails that are extremely beginner trails.
Today was my birthday so I am going over what I learned this year the first thing is hard work with friends is not hard work. When you work with your friends you actually have a good time. The second is that the grind is hard but pays off at the end.  I also learned my identity is Christian and nothing else.
Today for church history we didnt really have much to learn so we did review in the form of that game thats called arounf the world. Whyich was fun I got a few questions right but I didn't really want to move.
The school has officially started for the year and it's pretty good just like school but you know there are the super dull parts where you learn about random neurotransmitters that you're not even going to get tested on. Karate classes have also continued as usual which is always fun to do my birthday is in a couple of days and I am hoping to get a bike rack for a car so I can hit the trails at Fort Custer.
Sermon Sunday Yesterday the evening sermon was about regeneration and which one comes first regeneration or being saved and reformed theology is very dialed onto this and I think it was regeneration first and then you're saved.
My blog is about the Tetons and how they became the rulers of Britain a long time ago and I still don't care at all. Anyway, after many years the Britons became enslaved by the Romans but after a while, the Britons forgot how to fight because the Romans had always been there, and when the Romans left many different tribes of people came and conquered Britain. One of these were the Tetons.
Yesterday we had speech and debate class which was fun we basically had the mixer game where you are interviewed by a certain person and then we get up to the front of the class and basically ask those questions again in front wich helps with talking in front of a larger group of people and its just fun.
Today is about nine eleven because nine eleven happened a couple days ago well not the event but when ithappened a couple years ago happened a couple days ago. Basically the story of nine eleven is a bunch of terroists stole four planes and tried torun theminto buildings.
Sermon Sunday is about the evening sermon and lordship salvation wich is an interesting topic.Because many non denominational churches do not hold to this principle and most of the reformed churches hold to this priunmciple/. Basically lordsghip sal;vation is if you expect jesus as saviour you MUST expect him also as your lord and he owns you.
Last night at karate we had a street week where you wear your street clothes and not the uniform. This week was obstacle evasion when someone is chasing you I got chosen first out of like fifty kids which I didn't like a lot because I wanted to see the course run a couple times but it was fun and everybody else that didn't go because it was one verse one they got to stand on one side of the gym and pretend like it was a busy sidewalk.
Wedsday class has offficialy started and as expected there are like ten white belts there which is fun to see because as a higher-up belt I get to teach them which is fun and a new challenge hopefully around halfway through the year I can start working towards learning more as well.
Today is the start of karate on Wednesday class, Its going to be very chaotic for a few weeks because people wont know exactly what to do but we will have fun i will most likely work with some people on the very basic technique and stances of karate and it will be a learning experience for me as well as them.
The first chapter starts with the narrator talking about how great Roam was and how curiously people used to live then it changes and goes to a young man named Aleric and Aleric had a dream that he was going to be emperor of Rome one day just the issue was he was a german and not even a roman when he was older he gathered an army and sacked Greece and had tonnes nd tons of precious stones and money. After that, he sacked Rome three times before he died of a sickness.
There are a few things that you have to try if you are trying to become a successful you tuber the first is time management this is called the McDonald method and basically what you do is say you meet with a friend at a McDonald but he is like seven minutes away still so what you should do is use that time to get further in come creative endaver that you have working on like writing a book.
To kill A Mockingbird is a very strange book i dont really know what the book is about but basically the first few chapter are explaining people and what they do the only funny bits in there are about when they go to school because she was in the first grade and she somehow remembered all this stuff.
My blog post is on Ronnie Coleman "the king". This man won eight Mr Olympias and was probably one of the greatest bodybuilder ever the only person to ever win that many Mr Olympias was a man named lee Haney. both of there training methods were extremely hardcore. Ronnie Coleman arms never got under 17 inches all the way around in college they were around 20 inches and they just got bigger. On his seventh Mr Olympia the judges literally told him to stop growing muscle because he was so big.
Today i am going to talk about the African martial arts that were extremely old. These martial arts dont have a name but they are very similar and a little different then a normal martial art today the first thing is these martial arts were usually centered around some sort of weapon this could range from spear to sword to a bracelet they wore around there wrists. Something that interested me was the kata they used it was cool because it was done to music and at the same time a lot like the kata of today.
Last year i got a really bad injury at Ludinton this year i only skinned my elbow and cut my hand so it was a good year in terms of injury The beech was really good the water was warm and only on the second to last day was it rather cold but we had fun in it anyways.
last week we went camping at Ludington where all of our extended family we got there Monday morning and had camp set up that day thankfully the people in our campsite had left before we got there so we didn't have to wait. I slept with my cousin in his tent which is always fun it was him and me in our own tent everyone else slept in there own tents.
For sermon Sunday we had a guest pastor with I think a Brazillian accent and both of the passages were in one of the gospels one of them was named de ja vu and the other one had a super long name I can't remember the full name but I enjoyed the second sermon the vning sermon was better.
I ran eight miles yesterday it was pretty hard because I hadn't eaten the night enough before and a couple hours before the run so I was hungry on my fourth mile and the only thing I had with me was my water bottle but I kept pressing on and I ended up finishing the eight miles.
Last week I went to the RYS convention and there was something from 850 to nine hundred kids there it was insane. I got to meet a bunch of my task friends and it was fun talking to them and the singing was really cool because there were so many people.
A while back i went to TASC which is teens actively serving christ and what we do is acts of service to people its really fun we get enough free time to where we can talk and at the end of it were all good freinds and its extremely sad when e3vryone starts having to leave to go back a week ago i went to a rys coinvention and i got to see almost all my tasc freinds again. and it was awesome.
I went camping at fort Custer fora week and fort Custer cool because it has really good nice mountain biking trails and I love mountain biking so i would hit the trails all the time halfway through the week i decided to see how many miles i had biked on the trail and i was surprised i had biked like fifty something mile and right then i decided to bike an hundred miles and that what i did.
My report is on Nikola Tesla he is a very important man in the history of the finding and invention and use of electricity he made things like the transformer, the induction motor and he made good progress on what we call alternating current or AC power for short.  Without Nikola Tesla, we wouldn't have the transformer which almost every house has nowadays. AC power is very different back then they had to use something called DC power this form was extremely annoying to work with because it was rather weak and could travel through a lot of space or it would lose its power AC on the other hand could travel large distances without losing its ability to light up lightbulbs and other things. If we were still using DC power there would be many more electrical areas that would need to be erected because of DC's inability to go far.  Nikola Tesla himself was an interesting man he was the one person that took a remote-controlled boat and used the remote control to steer it ever...
Laffite had an issue though the issue was that he had saved this girl that was in her teens and they had not yet told her that she was in the company of thieves and bandits. This girl started to ask question so laffite decided to tell her who they really were. the chapter ended with her trusting jean Lafitte to keep her safe.
Jean Laffite had kind of gone into the slave business. What they would do would steal goods from ships that were trading with Spain they never touched anything that was American though they would steal these goods and then put them in a warehouse in the ocean where Laffite lived and one at a time the goods were sold.
I am training for half a marathon and last week I ran seven miles I officially went farther then. Half of the half marathon was pretty tough but just yesterday I ran six miles and tomorrow I am going to run five miles and if I don't over work myself I might run another six or maybe even a seven on Friday.
For sermon sunday i am going to talk about the morning sermon my dad is doing a series on acts and acts Is kind of the entire history of the acs of the holy spirit in the new testament and this time we actually went to the book of james because this is where the book probably would have been inserted. So the person james is funny because a lot of people think that he is a disciple but he actually isn't he is the brother of Jesus.
Laffite was able to get on a Spanish ship and he was let off at this port. This small town was extraordinary though because it had rebelled against Spain and they were their own country so they were OK with Laffite as long as he would work there. and he decided to work on one of the ships.
I am going to run four miles every single day and I am going to see what happens to my legs I am also going to add one hundred pushups and other calithsethtics bodyweight exercises. Will I grow in cardio or will I absolutely wreck my body?
The Winchester repeating rifle was a lever action style weapon this style was first made in around 1848 when a man patented the gun but it was rather clunky and didn't work very well After a year or two the patent was bought over to someone also and the man vastly improved the weapon so he actually was able to sell a few but it was still not as good as the Winchester that we know of today.
For sermon sunday i am going to talk about the morning sermon this sermon was on acts and it was the chapter when paul the apostle was struck down with a bright light and went blind until annia baptised him and right after that he became a xchristian and he did so much good argubal;y he is yher reasn Christianity is like this today.
So I started running a while ago last year I started running more often at the end of last year I could run three miles I thought I was doing pretty good I then took a break for the winter but I started while it was still pretty cold outside one day I was talking with one of my friends and he was going to run half a marathon I decided I was going to do it with him so I started doing training runs a couple months back i now run four miles every other day and on week ends I run a couple extra miles.
With there file laffite was able to saw through a grating in the ceiling of his prison cell and dark late at night he was about to sneak through but had the reminder to find something to defend himself with he had a small iron bar he decided he was going to use so he snuck out and knocked a guard out that was by the wall he then climbed over the wall and escaped to freedom he looked back promising himself he would come back to avenge what they had done to him.
Sermon Sunday we had a man from around Asia. He talked very fast but I liked his preaching because he used many illustrations of the best illustrations I liked was that there is this house and three groups are in this house. The first group is people who are partying their life away and live in the basement of this house. The second group is a set of people that sleep they have not yet woken up. The third group is awake and ready getting themselves ready because they know when the morning comes the king will come and they want to look presentable when the king comes so they can make an impression.
Laffite was in prison and in sad condition physically and mentally.  So he decided to do something about it he got under his metal bed and started lifting it over his head again and again he sweated and sweated and groaned but he did it. After a while of doing this every day the war with England wasn't going very well so the prisoners were told to make saddles sowing part of the saddles that were being made and one-day Laffite was able to steal a file by hiding it in his hair because they had not cut him it stayed pretty long.
Sermon Sunday I am going to talk about the evening service it was about some words in the Articles of confession I forgot the name but this article is basically the entirety of what a Christian believes it goes over Christ's life and we are at a phrase that says and he is now sitting at Gods right hand now I would like to say when someone is generally sitting that is a picture of he is done with his work he is resting now that is kind of what is happening here just Jesus is actually going to have to get up off that throne at the end of days.
Persia, an ancient Greek philosopher, looked at the letter. It always took him a while to figure out which words were which. He assumed the letter he was holding was a report on the colonnades being made in a temple.  I have a feeling this would have happened all the time in ancient times when there wasn't punctuation or periods or even spaces in between lines.  Imagine you could be reading a story back then and getting everything completely wrong. Think of a baker that had gotten an order for three loaves of bread. The baker could have gotten everything wrong or made something completely different. Imagine if someone wrote a check (or bill of sale) to someone else. The person receiving the check (or bill of sale) could get the amounts wrong. Punctuation is so important in terms of listing things off or pausing for effect. Think about how strange it would be to convey emotions through a string of words all in a line without break. We have periods and other punctuation to add p...
My first person I want to talk about is Ulysses s grant. He always was someone that seemed could be my role model. Ulysses s grant was born in Ohio and had this skill with horses. He was admitted to west point and graduated 21st class. He got married and had four children after that he resigned from the army. They lived in poverty for a few years. Shortly after the Civil war started he joined the army. After being in the army for a while he rose to prominence winning some early victories in the Western theater. In 1863 he he was the one who lead the Vicksburg campaign. When Ulysses joined the army his commanders put him in charge of a very unruly regiment. He whipped them into one of the best regiments in the area. He was promoted to brigadier general.  After that he sought to capture the Mississippi river. In February 1862 he took fort Henry and sought to capture fort Donelson His terms were "No terms but unconditional and immediate surrender can be accepted". The fort surre...
Lafitte fought but the fight was basically over before it began there was no way the small amount of men and weapons on board could overpower the massive warship. The enemy ship hove to and boarded and Lafitte and his men were captured after a brief struggle. After that Lafitte was sent to a prison fay in day out all he got was a little bit of food. One day he was called by the rather cruel master of the prison. He talked with him about coming over to the English side of the war but Lafitte would not so the prison master whipped him and put him back into his cell.
The Reconstruction happened after the civil war and it was aimed at economic things getting underway and getting more rights for African Americans because they could now vote around 1865 to 1877. People believed the reconustroction to be a total failure it didnt really fo what it wanted to do. I am going to go into the people that were part of the reconstruction what worked and what didnt and the different political groups jockeying for power back then. The south was crippled from the war and the blacks still didnt really have anywhere to go because they were still discriminated against.
Sermon Sunday was on Annina and Saphirra and the sin they did they lied lying is probably one of the sins God hates the most because if you have read that certain passage God killed bolt Ananias and sapphire instantly Peter said something and the fell down and breathed there last right then and there. God hates lying and if you dont repent you will go to hell.
laffite won the duel but now they had an issue the man he killed he technically was not allowed to duel so they had to hide him in a box. They brought him to the ship and laffite decided he would go with them. He stayed on the ship sailing around until they could find a target that they were able to defeat.
The two men decided to duel in a courtyard the partially drunk man was sure he was going  to win because he was a very good hand with a sword but the man named laffite and the hero of the story stayed calm. They squared off the man that came from the ship and was dueling sprang forward with a quick thrust hoping to end the man quickly laffite parrid and this went on and on for quit a while. Bolth men were breathing in the night air at a good pace at the end laffite won with a clever trick of disarming the man and killing him after that.
A man was at the dock of a french port and was watching the ships come and go he was watching one ship in particular a lean low fast looking vessel that looked as if it was piloted by very skilled sailors he wanted to get on this ship and be an officer but he would need to talk to the people there first. as the men cam to shore they walked to a place where they could eat and they sat down and ate one of the men who had a little to much wine was  talking ill about napoleon who was there leader at the time. The man could not have this so he stood up and asked the man from the ship to refute wat he had said about npaleon.
For my sermon Sunday we are going to talk about my dads morning service he preached on acts four i am pretty sure and it was when peter and john went before the pharisees and the Sadducee. The pharisees and the Sadducee had issues with the peter and john because they believed in things they could only see and touch. So right here in front of them is a miracle and at the same time they preach the Resurrection of Jesus.
For sermon Sunday we have my dad preaching on the book of acts and were talking about chapter three the story i  chapter three about the lame man being healed and acting insane in the temple courtyard because he got his legs back to working. The story goes peter sand john are walking to the temple at prsyer hour. THye see this man sitting by the gate and he is lame from birth. They tell him to stand and he stands.
Like I said jujitsu is basically wrestling. Its old it comes from brazil and its one of the best wrestling martial arts that you can join to learn wrestling. The belt system in jujitsu is extremely hard it takes someone around ten years to get there back belt in jujitsu which is quit a long time and then after that there are ten degrees of black belts you can get and another belt after that.
I just started a jujitsu class last week and i want to tell this blog that no one reads about it because i think its interesting . jujitsu is essential to be an effective fighter something a good fighter needs is to not be brought down with only one martial art you need to play the water kinda get skills in as many as you can therefore its harder for you to be cought off guard in a fight. Another important thing is to have a standing and ground game. jujitsu is mostly wrestling so you start jujitsu but i wouldn't stop there i would start a karate or teakwando class.
Sermon Sunday my dad preached on acts and it was about baptism because that was where he was preaching in the series. There the bible says that everybody including there entire family even there slaves had to be baptized.
Wilfred worked hard to fit in there on the North Sea it was enjoyable hard work and he was always extremely busy with working on the nets the people that helped him out had suited up an entire ship that was a fisher but also housed people like WIlfred.
Wilfred was keptvery busy on the North Sea he always on the ove between diferent ships to treat all of sorts of things and most of the time he would pitch in and help pull up the nets carrying the fish and helped gutting the fish and storing the meat.
Wilfred green fell went to the fisherman of the north sea to help them with sickness and broken bones and stuff like that because back in those days fishing was a dangerous business so his company actually got a fishing trowel they could use and the crewd it and went out to the fishing fleets of the north sea.
I am going to do another sermon Sunday because I didn't finish Sunday's sermon so the roman council was here to make a report about Pual they needed to do that when they send someone straight to the emperor so they set up a hearing. Also as a bonus a separate king was here and he was part jew so he knew what paul was talking about.
Sermon Sunday Today we had a different pastor on the evening sermon so I am going to talk about that the first thing this new pastor. While he was going out the door of his house his wife was like i might have to go the er because she was nine months pregnant. The sermon was really good he talked in acts about how Paul had to go before the magistrate or govnor. He was going to appeal to the emeperor and he could do this because he was a Roman citizen.
I belt tested in karate a couple weeks ago and it was a lot different from a normal class because i was called to the front after everybody else went to the back of the gym then the instructors sat down and i did everything i needed to do then i got tested on everything i got and i got A EIGHTY SEVEN PERCENT. I am so mad that i got so low i should have gotten at least a ninety because i got nocked down a couple points from my kata i had to do.
While Wilfred was in medical school he decided he was going on a trip to some remote place and fish and swim he decided to take a few boys with him and told them to save their money so they could go. He got six people to come with him they went and he thought them how to swim and fish and it was quite fun.
I will talk about the evening sermon about the line he descended into hell that part I forgot the name of in that one document. So this document is all based on the Bible except this one part and many people just won't say it because it is not biblical. when the people that ade this saw this part they didn't want to get rid of it so they made it mean something entirely different then it used to mean.
After the talk with the Cambridge seven Wilfred went back to hi room later he was called to his doctor's office and given a mission he was to go out among the fishermen and preach the gospel to them. The fishermen were buying grog and tobacco from other people and the rough sea was not a place for drunken sailors.
Wilfred found the tent with the seven young men that were going to speak and he saw all seven of them each of these men had proved themself in something CT studd one of the seven stood up and started talking about his brother when he was a famous cricketer.
as Wilfred was doing his norma rounds he found a poster saying that the Cambridge seven were going to have a meeting. The Cambridge seven where seven young men that had excelled at something but had given there lives to christ.  Wilfred decided to go and see what is was going to be about.
this sermon Sunday i am going to talk about luke the writer he wrote about thirty percent of the entire new testament and we don't like anything about him. Alos one of his greatest friends theophilus we don't know very much about him they are bold shrouded in mystery.
Wilfred loved that preaching by dl moody he went to different does as well he liked it very much while he was doing that he was also doing his normal doctors' stuff going house to house and healing people and helping them medically all free of charge.
The second year Wilfred was in college he began actually going to classes and he found he enjoyed them s he also started doing house calls on the very poor of the city free of charge to get some experience one day he was in a pretty poor area and he had just delivered a puny little baby nd had instructed the mother to keep her hands clean when handling the baby. When he was walking home he decided to take a shortcut through a slum. As he was walking he found a tent set up in a corner of the street he looked in and found a large group of poor people sitting in seats very quite. He walked in and found it was the famous DL moody preaching so he sat down and heard the gospel preached by Mr. Moody himself. Wilfred found himself actually understanding the word of God like he never had before.
Wilfred was going to be a doctor it appealed to his sense of adventure. Most doctors took rounds on horse rounds where they were stationed so they traveled quite a bit. So he started to study in college to be a doctor. Still, he didn't like looking so he decided to pay a crammer to do his work for him with this wife started an intense course of bodybuilding and even got onto the rowing and boxing team he was known around the campus as an excellent athlete.
Wilfred was depressed because he couldn't be a tiger hunter in India he thought maybe a clergyman but he would be bored very quickly a friend said go visit his friend about becoming a doctor so that is what he did the next day he came in and after a while, f talking the doctor took down a jar and placed it in front of Wilfred do you know what this is he said Wilfred said no and the doctor said this a brain we cannot fathom what goes on in it after talking a while Wilfred decided he would be a doctor.
So I just did my second tip test in karate and this is the test with a  lot of the official things in it like when to bow what the code of martial arts is how to fold your gi which type of gi fold you like more when to bow wait to be excused and things like that.
When Wilfred mulled over his idea of what to do for work. He wanted to go outside and do work outside so he planned on becoming a tiger hunter in India he was extremely excited about this so he went to see the wife of a missionary that had lived in India. When he asked her about tiger hunting she explained that tiger hunting cost a lot of money just to get the proper replies and people.
One day William was told to come to his father's office so he went and his father hit him with a bombshell. I and my mother are moving to a church where I will reach and I am having a superintendent take care of the school until your brother can come ad run it and now what are you going to do you are of age to start making your own living.
For sermon Sunday, I am going to talk about elders because elders have an extraordinary role in the church. They are the leaders of the church they have the power to make decisions and do things they are also in charge of visiting and other things. A lot of people think that the elders are there to be your servant kind of but they are and they really arent.
There were a few special things that were nice about going to college every once in a while he could sneak out into the woods and catch moths and butterflys. Wich where a poor substitute compared to te stuff he fought back home after a year or so he went back home to his family and joined the fishermen back on the sea.
Wilfred had been enrolled din college it was a more strict place then he was used to but the best day was Sunday he said after the service which almost put him to sleep they got to sing the entire handles Messiah and he sang with gusto even though everybody sid he was utterly tone deaf.
Wilfred dreamed about the boat he was to build all the time and wondered what type of adventures he would have in it. They finished the book it looked more like a floating coffin than anything but William knew it was most likely one of the most seaworthy vessels on this part of the river. His brother and he stayed up all night sometimes catching fish with the fisherman.
William was the younger brother of the two brothers they had another brother but he had issues with his brain working and could easily hurt himself so he always needed supervision. This summer was special for William because he and his brother were going to build a boat. William went over the stuff the boat needed in his head it would need a square prow but built sturdily so it could go into the tumbling waters of the river dee. But it also needs to be more flat-bottomed so they could also travel into the marshes.
I will talk about Wilfred Grenfell and read the entire book and tell you about this man because he has a more accessible name to spell than savanorla. Wilfred Grenfell lived in the land of dee or thts where he lived the village dee it was by a river named dee that was extremely dangerous and his father and mother both worked at the school he went to.
The day came they were put off for trial ad found guilty of some random things so savanorla and his monk the monk that was going to do the ideal and we're going to the gallows and the monk was standing tall and proud as he came to the gallows and as savanorla walked past a city commissioner the commissioner said " I separate you from the church militant and the church triumphant" and savanorla turned and said " You can separate me from the church militant, but you cannot separate me from the church triumphant" and that is the story of savanorla
The battle of Saratoga resulted in a British defeat at the hands of General Horatio Gates. This defeat powered The entire company for freedom and raised morale. our company and the whole army built defenses on Bemis heights just south of Saratoga. General Burgoyne the general of the British attacked. We engaged on Freemans farm we fought and we fought and eventually general Burgoyne did withdraw and decided to wait for reinforcements because there where many casualties. General Burgoyne decided to try one more time o he attacked a second time and was defeated at Bemis heights on October 7 With no means of escape he surrendered. This victory not only re-fired the hopes of the Americans but it did something also that would change the war in a massive way. The French now seeing that they just weren't spending money to lose it but two things a treaty with a new country and also giving the British a massive bloody nose which might be helpful in later engagements.
For some reason svorla is smeared somehow I do not exactly remember but somehow a story got out that it was Savonarola's fault that there wasn't the ideal and remember this is a great thing that would happen if there were many people here to watch this spectacle but they where all let down because it never happened. So they decide they where going to burn Savonarola at the stake after they hung him for some reason they where also going to hang his follower monk that was going to also go through the ideal.
Of course, as soon as this rival monk heard he actually had to more or less walk through the fire he instantly backed out and got one o his other monks to do it for him. After a while of arguing a date was set and savanorlas man was there to walk through the fire but the other mon never showed up they even sent messengers to where he lived he still didn't show.
so This one proposed this ideal savanorla but savanorla wouldn't do it because he said you shouldn't try to force God's hand in doing miracles one of savanorla followers who was an ardent follower of savanorla. He didn't want savanrolas name blemished so he took the ideal fr savonorla against savonrls wishes.
Now what is an ideal well back then an ideal was kid of like a duel between churches and the way it worked usually was you lit a fire or something and you had to walk by it in a way so there is one hundred percent no way you arent burned extremely badly in this case it was to fires with a little path in between the two fires. what is was for is that it more or less forced God to make a miracle but he never did because that is how you won the ideal is you by the fire without being burned and that showed God was on your side.
The king died without his sins so-called forgiven by savanorla. After this savanorla actually reidi the entire war government was done in Florence and he kept preaching death and damnation but it wouldn't last. a rival mon you could say from a different monastery challenged Savonarola to an ideal.
When savanorla came to the persons besides the king's bedside when he was dying Savonarola said he must do three things. The first to things where he should have were believers in Jesus Christ and I think that last admit his wrongs or something like that but the third one didn't make a lot of sense because remember savanorla is a catholic and a very ardent monk and preacher so he said free the people from this dictatorship but the king wouldn't do it so Savonarola didn't forgive his sins.
So Savonarola is preaching in the city of Florence and one day the ruler or king more or less of this city is going to die. Of course, he needed a priest to give him rest from ll his sins so he would go to heaven and he chose savanorla the issue with this is that savanorla was hated by most people but the king knew that Savonarola would give him the truthful answer to what e needed to do to go to heaven.
Today because it is the new year I am going to talk about someone that helped the shape the reformation as it was back then it this is a good seventy maybe a hundred years before the reformation. There was a monk named Savanorala and he was a catholic and he was sent to minister to people in Florence Italy and this city was extremely worldly on every front. Savanoroa saw this and started preaching death and damnation and hellfire to these people these but the people didn't even listen to him they where seemingly drawn to him somehow just like people where drawn to Jesus but didn't even listen to his teachings like the pharisees for example.
